Master's and Doctoral Programs

The CLaRI faculty are affiliated with the Literacy Program in the Department of Learning and Instruction within the Graduate School of Education.

We offer an Ed.M Literacy Specialist Degree for teachers who have already obtained initial certification.

We offer a Ph.D. program for those who wish to pursue a doctoral degree linking research, theory, and practice.

As part of their masters and doctoral program, candidates have opportunities to work with children on instruction or research at CLaRI-UB or at CLaRI affiliated sites in nearby school districts.
